Is there an age limit?
This is an all-ages event. If you are part of a theme camp that will be providing alcohol, please make sure you have procedure in place to check IDs and prohibit the gifting of alcohol to minors.
What do I need to bring?
Here is a handy (but in no way exhaustive) list of things you'll want with you at the event:
- ID and ticket
- Tent or RV (something to shelter within and perhaps sleep)
- Sleeping bag, pillow, earplugs, your Mr Fuzzy teddy bear
- Camp basics such as tarps, stakes, ropes, and shade structures
- Camp comforts such as chairs, tables, rugs, cushions
- Regular clothes and underwear
- Fun costumes and... underwear?
- Food! You will be reliant on your own food supply while you are here (there are no food vendors!)
- Drink! 1 gallon of water per day is recommended, and whatever else you want to consume/bathe in.
- Sunscreen, bug spray, first aid thingies
Can I camp with my vehicle? What's the deal with parking?
When you arrive, you will be directed to a place to park your car for the weekend, separate from the camping area. At the discretion of the parking volunteers, and depending on the availability of space, you may be permitted to temporarily bring your vehicle to the entrance of the camping areas to unload. Be prepared to carry your belongings on foot! No regular vehicles will be permitted into the wooded areas, and only DMV pre-approved and registered mutant vehicles will be allowed to roam the property during the event.
I have an RV/camper - do I need to register it?
We do have ample space for vehicles intended for dwelling at the front of the property (by the first entrance to the woods) - there is no formal registration process for these unless they are to be part of a theme camp, but you are welcome to contact us if you have questions.
Will there be ice for sale? What about firewood? Any coffee perhaps?
Please watch this space for information on ice and firewood availability. For all other items, please adhere to the principle of radical self-reliance and make sure you have all you need before you enter Serendipity.
Is my service animal allowed? What about my pet panda?
No animals are permitted on site other than service animals. Please don't bring your pet panda - they'll only get sick from being fed too much turkey bacon.
Can I engage in nudity at the event?
Nope - public nudity is prohibited by Tennessee law as this is an all ages event (and children ARE present!). Please respect these laws.
Can we have fires at our camp on those chilly nights?
Watch this space for information on our fire policy.
What time do the gates open and what are gate hours?
For regular attendees, Serendipity begins on Thursday at 10am, and all attendees must leave the farm by 11:59am on Monday.
Subject to change, the gate hours are:
Friday: 10am to 10pm.
Saturday: 10am to 6pm.
Pre-approved attendees with Early Access can arrive from 10am Wednesday - this is by pre-approval only, anyone turning up on Wednesday without approval will not be allowed on site.
Is re-entry allowed?
We always allow people to leave, but under normal circumstances you will be required to purchase a new ticket to re-enter the event. Re-entry with your original ticket will be prohibited. If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us for advice.
What do I do if I lose something?
Assuming the item is physical and not a part of your mental being, we do have an area where we keep lost and found. Speak with our gate greeters. If you are trying to recover misplaced belongings after the event, check on our Facebook group for more information.
